Gender: Male

Personality

Talat is a very private man, given to letting his bond talk for him - even to normal folks who aren't dragonriders! This leads many to believe that he's mute, and few have gotten close enough to the man to find out that he can, in fact, speak. His personality mirrors Arman's to some extent - he's a freedom fighter, doing everything he can to get people out of tyranny and oppression, and he'll never accept money or other sort of payment for pulling people free of such places, or helping to topple corrupt governments. His views, though, are much more open minded than Arman's tend to be, and it's Talat's strategies that have kept them alive for as long as they've been around.

Description

Talat is tall and lithe, his dusky black skin glinting at odd intervals, like flashes of fire from well concealed diamonds. Black hair, shot through with brilliant silver, falls to his mid-back when braided into the complicated arrangements that he prefers, and falls to his hips when left unrestrained. Dark blue-gray eyes are often half-lidded and sleepy looking, leading many to believe that he's paying little attention to his surroundings. He moves with a natural grace and pride, much like the confident padding of a feline assured of its ownership of all it surveys.

For clothing, Talat wears dark, muted colors in very... tribal patterns and outfits. His wardrobe tends to vary in the styles of tribal that he owns, but never touches on more modern clothing. To top it all off, he follows the tribal style to the point of wearing the right jewelry, bangles, and, often, weapons as well, all of which he's proficient in to some extent, though the long, curved knife is his favorite. His ears are pierced multiple times, and often sport tribal earrings of some sort.

History:

Talat, being the private sort, speaks little of his past. Most of what anyone knows about him comes from hearsay and undoubtedly exaggerated stories of his exploits. A few points remain true to all stories, though, and as such must be taken as truth. He's known as the Falcon of Tears in some circles, a name that both hints at and hides the dangerous truth about him - he's a shape changer, his chosen form the Falcon. Yet it's an odd falcon that he becomes, feathers as dusky as his skin, eyes the same dark blue-gray, and with strange markings on his face, crystal bright and shaped like tears. What tends to be unknown, though, is that his true form is the falcon - his chosen form, then, being Human - and that it is solely because of his odd coloration and markings that he can change. His wild side is still within him, and to chain him to one place is to condemn him to death.
