The contigent of Myrsilkains that formed the seed of the Clan is small, numbering a bare forty-one, none of them young, and very few of them with mates. Except for Yikaeri and Revent, none of the leaders have any experience with leadship roles - they were raised into their positions by quick tests that the two leaders put into place.
While both Yikaeri and her mate Revent have considered the oddity of their cases - a premated pair, already well versed in leadership from leading their own Clan before the Kankaemetsurihen, and somehow surviving when none of the other leaders did - they have decided that struggling with the "why" behind it isn't worth it, especially when they have the incredible task of organizing such a chaotic mess into something workable.
