::General:: ((Written by Kitsuneko)) Arrogant and full of herself, Serath exudes confidence and independence, as well as a severe disdain for others. She doesn't hide her contempt for the majority of the population, and there are precious few who she will condescend to talk to. She tends to be suspicious of strangers...
((Added by me)) While she's always been rather most of these things, being abandoned by her former bond seems to have acted as a catalyst in a reaction and made her all the more independent, arrogant, and haughty. Strangely enough, it only added to her own confidence, in a rather backwards way-- she can function on her own, she doesn't need the person she intended to bond at her hatching. She is her own person.
She is rather disappointed, however. She doesn't particularly mention it to anyone, but being abandoned had hurt her, and had a profound effect on her. Who knows, if she had stayed with her original bond, perhaps she would not be so nasty towards strangers. In any case, being abandoned for awhile looked to her like a crushing end to all of her dreams-- she'd wanted, upon hatching, to explore, to see things, to discover things. She'd wanted adventure, and having her bond turn away from her seemed the end of that.
Recently, however, she's decided that being abandoned will hold her back no longer. She'll see things, just without someone holding her back. It's for this reason she chose to go to mindspace-- that, and she was getting sick of people at her former location-- she'd heard of a sister and brother doing well there, and, more importantly, heard how big and varied it was.

One would think it strange that such a sweet little beast as Song would choose to live with such a beast as Serath, but Song does not shade that opinion, obviously, and when you see the two interacting, it's clear why. Song is one of the select few beings who doesn't annoy Serath, and who Serath is sweet too. Small even for her species, Song still likes seeing things, and thus her favorite place is curled either between Serath's shoulders or on top of her head. The two of them have long conversations, occasionally, but more often sit together in comfortable silence.
