::General:: ((Written by Kitsuneko)) Sour and embittered, Lairys is not a very nice dragon, partly from the influence of his former bond, and partly from abandonment. He is a very independent dragon...
((Added by me)) Brought to Mindspace by Moonstar, he moved out on his own almost immediately, not liking the idea of being taken care of by anyone. He's that independent. It wasn't that he didn't like Moonstar-- if anything, she was one of the few people he could stand, and he was polite as possible to her-- he just needs to be the dominant creature.
He's always been rather doglike, in his actions-- he moves like a dog, though since his abandonment it's been much more stalking and bristly. While he didn't like people before his hatching, where he snapped at all the candidates but the one he chose, now he downright hates them, chasing people who come into his weyr out with tooth and claw. He's very territorial, rarely letting anyone into his weyr or anywhere else he considers his territory, and being downright nasty to everyone who comes within three meters of it. He'll actually hurt someone, too, though probably not kill-- the only people immune to his wrath are his friends, animals, and small children of any sort-- they don't know any better, and that logic cuts through his bitterness any day. With small children, he'll simply gently push them out. Secretly, he kind of likes them, but don't tell anyone that.
He doesn't trust anyone, and gaining that trust is hard-- tough as he is, his ex-bond hurt him badly by leaving him as a hatchling, and regaining any trust after that is something that has to be earned from him. This makes him lonely, however, which isn't something he likes either-- but usually he just shakes it off, if he can.
